Our Mission
It has become a requirement for states,
companies and individuals to be fully alert to the rapidly and
constantly changing international system in order to achieve
success. Focusing on peoples and cultures all over the world the
field of International Relations is therefore not only a dynamic
and fascinating one, but also an indispensable area of academic
interest for those who wish to develop insight into our
globalizing world. The Department of International Relations
therefore prepares students to understand and contribute to the
dynamic system we are living in. Our undergraduate and graduate
programs are designed to equip our students with the knowledge
and applicable skills that will serve them and their
communities. We also strive to contribute to a wider academic
community through original research and publication. The
study of International Relations develops understanding of the
contemporary world and learning about the complicated processes,
institutions, and value allocation systems that characterize
human communities. Students strengthen their analytical
abilities and learn how to make oral and written presentations,
increasing their capacity to live in today's rapidly changing
world. The field of international relations is a challenging
subject overlapping several other fields and there is always
something new to learn.
